Day 10: How do you expect us to get anywhere?

The Oregon coast is so amazingly beautiful! And the further south we go the more beautiful it gets! We are so glad to have the freedom to be spontaneous. And what an awesome place to be… the land of 10,000 scenic overlooks! And… travel is slow since we want to stop at them all!

At one of the overlooks, we were enjoying the view and a group of about 7 Model A’s, 2 trucks, and one Corvette (apparently his Model A had mechanical trouble so he had to take his vette… poor thing. LOL). They were a group from Reno touring the coast.

At another overlook, there was a group of guys (10 cars) from British Columbia getting ready to wind surf. It’s very windy today so they should have fun! At yet another overlook, we hiked down to a huge beach cave and at the bottom, you can see that it goes through to the ocean. The waves come crashing in and at high tide, apparently it fills with water. I crawled down in as far as I could and got pix and video.

We did cross over into CA at about 3:30. After our long hike today we’re ready to chill for the evening (we’re in Crescent Bay about 30 miles south of OR) and tomorrow we plan to spend some time with the Redwoods in Redwood National Forest!

Until tomorrow
Model A's cruisin down HWY 101

They were beautiful!

It doesn't get any better than this

Come sail away!

Right?

One of the many awesome wildflowers we've seen! Every color now I think

The outside of the cave

Inside... you can see through
